Central Services & Public Relations

The team in the Central Services department looks after the IfZ's building and research facilities and the technical infrastructure. This includes the IT equipment, the field trial technology including weather stations, the building infrastructure including a sugar beet tare house for washing the harvested beet, greenhouses and climate chambers as well as the cars and tractors.

Every year, field trials are carried out on more than 20 hectares near Göttingen at various locations and as part of various research projects. Central Services supports all research departments in planning, setting up, maintaining and harvesting the field trials and coordinates the work for which shared technology is used.
