The department's staff carry out general administrative activities for the entire institute. This includes the internal and external transfer of information and knowledge, the presentation of our diverse activities and the organisation of events.

A key service is supporting the research departments in applying for funding and coordinating projects. Success in acquiring third-party funding is an important goal of the IfZ, as many innovative and forward-looking projects can only be realised with the help of public and private research funding. In order to be successful in the competition for third-party funding, professional expertise, technical equipment and also the know-how for the application process play a major role.

The Human Resources & Finance team is responsible for the human resource management of the staff and ensures the smooth management of financial resources.
